Most damage happens inside the box. The APC network runs at room temperature (it isn't refrigerated), so pack for the journey.
Use a strong box
Double-wall (2-ply) cardboard at least. Reused boxes are fine if they're sound and the old labels are off.
Fill the gaps
Pick a box that fits, wrap each item, and pad empty space so nothing moves when you shake it.
Bottles
Wrap each bottle or use dividers, pack into an inner box, then a strong outer box. Specialist bottle packaging is best.
Liquids and powders
Seal them, bag them and pack them upright. Mark the box clearly.
Perishables
Use insulated packaging with gel packs, ice packs or dry ice, since the network isn't chilled.
Seal and label
Use proper parcel tape on every edge. Put the label flat on top and a copy of the addresses inside.
What we can't carry
Knives and other bladed items can't be sent through The APC network. Other excluded items are listed in The APC Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
Regulated goods in small quantities may be allowed on the Limited Quantity service. Ask us before you book.

Can I get proof of delivery?
Yes. Account customers can see who signed for a parcel online, and APC Choice shows photo and GPS proof.
Is my parcel insured?
Goods in Transit liability cover applies to eligible consignments. Limits are set out in the Terms and Conditions of Carriage; ask us if you send high-value goods.
Can you link to my web shop?
Yes. Account customers can book and print labels online or connect their e-commerce or warehouse software.
How do I get a quote?
Use our enquiry form or call the depot. Tell us roughly how many parcels you send, their size and where they go.
