Business Development Manager (BDM)

APC Manchester have an exciting new role for a Business Development Manager (BDM).

Experienced Business Development Manager

We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated, results driven Sales and Business Development Manager with excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.

You will have a proven track record in sales and the ability to sell over the telephone and face to face, identify potential opportunities and actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Working as part of a team geared to help you achieve your targets you will have excellent time management and organisational skills, be IT literate and hold a full UK driving licence.

Personal Specifications of the Field Sales Executive

  • Results and target orientated
  • A proven track record of face-to-face sales within the parcel,logistics or distribution industry
  • Proven salary and commission earnings
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in field sales
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • IT literate and previous experience of using a CRM system
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of Manchester post code areas an advantage

Responsibilities of the Field Sales Executive

  • Achieve monthly new business isolation and year to date revenue targets
  • Strategically breakdown the region, turning prospects and leads into sales
  • Arrange face-to-face meetings with key decision makers via cold calling both on the road and on the phone
  • Sell the company’s services to new and existing clients
  • Undertake presentations at board level to potential customers

Position includes company car and commission
